Your island guide to the best beaches, events, nature, life & culture
Playa El Bobo is one of the most conveniently located beaches in Costa Adeje, in the south of Tenerife, just steps from the lively tourist zone around Playa de las Américas. With its soft volcanic sand, calm waters, and excellent surrounding services, this beach is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying the island’s sunny weather.
Protected by breakwaters, Playa El Bobo offers gentle waves and shallow entry points, making it suitable for families and less experienced swimmers. The sand is fine and dark, typical of the island's volcanic origin, and there’s plenty of space to stretch out with a towel or rent a sunbed.
The beach is equipped with public showers, bins, a wooden walkway, and easy access points. A green flag often flies here, indicating safe swimming conditions.
Just steps away you’ll find bars, restaurants, and shopping areas, including the nearby Casino Playa de las Américas, located right in front of the beach. Visitors can easily grab a drink, enjoy some tapas, or spend time in the commercial zones between swims.
Playa El Bobo is located near the H10 Gran Tinerfe hotel and other major tourist facilities, making it easily reachable by foot, car, or public transport. It’s an excellent spot for anyone staying in the Playa de las Américas or Costa Adeje area.
